A Security Officer provides security for property at hospitals, hotels, warehouses or office buildings. Monitors entrances and patrols buildings, watches for intruders or vandals; reports building maintenance problems; deals with customers or visitors that create a disturbance in the building.
$17.00 per hour Must pass all background Clearances, fingerprinting, drug test, and medical marijuana training course. Position Overview We are seeking dependable, alert, and professional Unarmed Security Officers to protect property, personnel, and assets at a secure site. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent judgment, and the ability to remain calm and professional in all situations. As a Security Officer, you will serve as a visible deterrent to unauthorized activity, maintain a safe environment for all personnel and visitors, and respond effectively to incidents as they arise.
Key Responsibilities Access Control:
Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification, check credentials, and ensure only authorized personnel enter the facility.
Patrols:
Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas to identify safety or security issues, hazards, and potential risks.
Observation & Reporting:
Maintain constant vigilance; observe and accurately document all activities, incidents, and irregularities, including property damage, theft, and unauthorized individuals.
Incident Response:
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and disturbances; follow proper procedures for notification, escalation, and documentation.
Customer Service:
Greet and assist employees, contractors, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
Safety Support:
Identify and report unsafe conditions or hazards; assist in maintaining compliance with site safety standards.
Documentation:
Complete detailed written reports, including daily activity logs and incident reports, in a clear and timely manner.
Post Orders Compliance:
Follow all site-specific policies, procedures, and post orders as instructed by management. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Must pass a background check and drug screening . Reliable transportation and punctual attendance required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent observation, situational awareness, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, patrol large areas, and perform moderate physical activity if required.
