Job Description
Team Lead Security Guard We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and dependable Team Lead Security Guard to oversee and coordinate security operations across our industrial, mining, and construction client sites. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of personnel, property, and assets while supporting daily operations and maintaining exceptional client relationships. The ideal candidate is an experienced security professional with strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a hands-on approach. They are flexible, personable, and willing to lead by example by covering shifts when needed, training new employees, and supporting their team in the field. Key Responsibilities Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of security officers. Ensure security operations are conducted professionally and in accordance with company policies and client expectations. Conduct regular patrols and inspections to maintain a safe and secure environment. Monitor and oversee access control systems, regulating entry and exit for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. Respond to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns using sound judgment and effective de-escalation techniques. Write clear, accurate, and concise incident and daily activity reports. Train, coach, and onboard new security personnel. Maintain positive working relationships with clients in industrial, mining, and construction environments. Communicate regularly with management to ensure operations are running smoothly and to address staffing, client concerns, and operational needs. Assist with scheduling and provide shift coverage as needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Utilize security technology, reporting systems, and communication equipment effectively. Support company vehicles by monitoring basic truck maintenance needs and reporting service requirements. Qualifications Previous security experience required; supervisory or team lead experience preferred. Strong leadership and team-building skills. Experience working in industrial, mining, or construction environments is preferred. Familiarity with access control systems, security technology, and report writing. Proven ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively de-escalate difficult situations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Dependable, professional, and customer-service oriented. Charismatic, approachable, and able to build strong relationships with clients and team members. Flexible schedule with the ability to cover shifts when operational needs arise. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred. Clear background check. Basic knowledge of truck maintenance and vehicle inspections is an asset.
