Job Description

Position Summary:
UniSea is looking for a reliable door security person for our Harbor Provide Harbor View Bar & Grill in Dutch Harbor, Alaska. This position would entail making sure all patrons are of legal age for the bar and maintaining control of large crowds or individuals, if necessary.
Essential Duties:
1) Ensure all patrons are of legal age (21) and in possession of an appropriate identification card. 2) Allow no visibly intoxicated patrons to either enter or remain in the bar or grill areas. 3) Assist in escorting guests from facility when necessary. 4) Assist in providing security and law enforcement personnel with accurate information during investigations. 5) Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the facility, including trash removal, during hours of operation. 6) Assist in stocking coolers. 7) Develop, implement and maintain Everyday Focus activities to ensure continuous improvements and cost efficiencies in position and department. 8) Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with company policy by closely monitoring the safe use of equipment and work habits in and around the work area. Responsible for staying up to date with current company policies as they relate to safety.
Secondary Duties:
1) Perform all functions in a calm, non-confrontational manner. Strict compliance with all state laws and established policies regarding alcohol service and security is mandatory. 2) Must possess or have the ability to acquire a Training in Alcohol Management (TAM) card. 3) Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1) High school diploma or equivalent 2) Minimum of 0-1 years of prior security experience. Alcohol training is preferred. Previous security experience preferred but not required. Benefits and Pay Information:
This position is a seasonal non-exempt position with a wage of $17 per hour. Travel to Dutch Habor, Alaska from Seattle or Anchorage is provided. Dormitory style housing is provided with a small room and board fee. UniSea offers a rich benefits package including: Medical/Dental/Vision insurance available after eligibility period is satisfied. Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Dependent Care Accounts are available after the eligibility period is satisfied. 401(k) plan and additional 3% employer contribution - after eligibility period is satisfied.
