Full Job Description Surveillance Investigator Immediate Openings Available Salary:

$55,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience EMI is a local leader in the insurance investigation industry. We provide professional investigative services that help clients obtain accurate, well-documented information when evaluating insurance claims. We are currently hiring Surveillance Investigators . Applicants with prior surveillance, investigative, military, security, or law enforcement experience are encouraged to apply. However, previous investigative experience is not required . We provide comprehensive training for dependable candidates who are observant, comfortable using technology, and ready to learn. Position Summary Surveillance Investigators conduct discreet field surveillance and obtain professional video documentation related to insurance claims. Investigators may capture video from a surveillance vehicle or while working in public locations such as stores, restaurants, gyms, and other businesses. You will receive training on surveillance techniques, video documentation, report writing, evidence handling, and how to conduct investigations without drawing attention. Investigators may also be required to testify in court regarding their observations and investigative work. Key Responsibilities Conduct discreet vehicle and foot surveillance Capture clear, accurate, and usable video evidence Operate and properly maintain company-provided recording equipment Document subject activity and other relevant observations Prepare detailed daily surveillance reports, activity logs, and case updates Submit video evidence and written documentation within required deadlines Communicate professionally and effectively with supervisors Follow all applicable laws, ethical standards, client instructions, and company procedures Maintain confidentiality regarding cases, clients, and investigative information Travel to various surveillance locations and work in changing environments Work a flexible schedule based on case requirements Qualifications Must be at least 25 years old Previous surveillance, investigative, security, military, or law enforcement experience is preferred but not required Willingness and ability to learn professional surveillance techniques Comfortable using computers, mobile devices, cameras, and other technology Strong observational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to remain patient, focused, and discreet for extended periods Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays when required Reliable attendance and professional judgment Physical and Work Requirements Ability to sit in a vehicle for extended periods Ability to operate and carry video-recording equipment Ability to enter public businesses and conduct mobile surveillance when necessary Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and environments Ability to maintain awareness and concentration during long surveillance assignments Training and Equipment No previous investigative experience is required. Qualified candidates will receive training in all major aspects of insurance surveillance and investigations. EMI provides the equipment necessary to perform the job, including a company surveillance vehicle . Investigators who use an approved personal vehicle may be eligible for a vehicle stipend. Employees are paid for authorized travel time from the time they leave home for an assignment until they return home.
