Must be 21 Job Summary The Surveillance Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of the premises by monitoring surveillance equipment, detecting suspicious activities, and responding to incidents. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage conflicts effectively. The Surveillance Officer will work closely with law enforcement and loss prevention teams to ensure a secure environment for all employees and visitors. Duties Monitor live CCTV feeds and surveillance systems to detect any unusual or suspicious behavior. Conduct regular patrols of the facility to ensure safety protocols are being followed. Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, coordinating with dispatch and law enforcement as necessary. Document incidents accurately through detailed report writing, ensuring all relevant information is captured for future reference. Collaborate with loss prevention teams to identify theft or fraud attempts and implement preventive measures. Provide training and support on surveillance operations to new staff members as needed. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of surveillance technologies and best practices in conflict management. Skills Proficient in dispatching protocols and emergency response procedures. Experience in law enforcement or security roles is highly desirable. Strong background in loss prevention techniques and strategies. Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance equipment operation. Excellent conflict management skills, with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively. Strong report writing skills, ensuring clarity and accuracy in documentation. Certification in security or surveillance operations is a plus. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and external agencies. This position requires a proactive approach to security challenges, making it essential for candidates to demonstrate reliability, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all stakeholders involved.
