Job Description

Essential Functions:
Responsibilities - Ensures that the safety of guests and team members is provided by observation of all area of the property. Ensure immediate action is taken on any situation, which may be life threatening, illegal or otherwise extraordinary. Constantly monitor all areas within camera view. Proactively keep up to date with any known cheats and keep them off property. Maintain a thorough understanding of the Mississippi Gaming regulations and ensure that these regulations are adhered to. Know and understand the procedures of all other departments involved in the handling of company assets and property and ensure these procedures are adhered to. Provide immediate notification to department leads and/or supervisors upon detection of any illegal activity. Ensure all pertinent information is entered into the daily shift log with proper times, locations and tape information. Effectively and professionally follow up actions and activities with reports as necessary. Oversees and at times, verify large payouts by the casino. Observe, detect, and report any cheating activity. Perform tape reviews of any activity observed within the surveillance monitor room as requested and required. Supervise the activity of the monitor room in the absence of a supervisor. Conduct training sessions with agents and sr. agents on slots, table games, ages, count rooms and security. Maintain a thorough understanding and working knowledge of all surveillance related equipment in the monitor room. Must have technical knowledge of the surveillance system. Understand where all power supply boxes are possess the ability to change out a VCR, and have the ability to change out a PTZ or fixed camera if needed. Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Requirements:
Must be able to obtain a Mississippi Gaming work permit. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. At least two years experience of casino, surveillance, law enforcement or a related profession. Must display strong supervisory skills. Must be able to work well in pressure situations and be self-motivated. Must possess sound and mature judgement Must be computer literate
