Agency Adult Correction Division COO
- OPS•Institutions Operations Job Classification Title Correctional Admissions Technician (S) Position Number 60062980 Grade NC02 About Us The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 14,000 employees.

Key Duties Include:
- Responsible for collecting data from the NCIC (National Crime Information Center) prior the offenders arrival.
- Preparing written reports and forms after gathering socioeconomic information, education, substance abuse history, etc. during the interview with the offender.
- Responsible for explaining terms of the sentence, and providing general orientation to prison processes and procedures.
- Read and interpret legal documents effectively and accurately.
- Perform crisis intervention and routine counseling including suicide prevention with the ability to recognize abnormal behavior and take appropriate actions in accordance with established procedures.
- Recording data and setting up the offender field jacket before passing it on to a Case Analyst for processing.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Range:
$31,200- 51,249 Working knowledge of the objectives, techniques, and regulations of a prison environment.
