Perform complex (journey-level) investigative and administrative functions in order to maintain and evaluate the quality, integrity, and synchronization of statewide Computerized Criminal History (CCH) databases. Coordinate the review and evaluation of methods, output, activities, and trends to identify and resolve discrepancies within the database(s). Work is performed under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Evaluate, verify and substantiate daily and quarterly FBI reports to execute appropriate changes while maintaining synchronization.2. Provide training, research, planning, policy, program assessment, and administrative activities for misuse of identity per State and Federal Statute.3. Request documentation from civil and/or criminal entities to analyze arrest submissions against Driver License fingerprints for determination of true identity for criminal or applicant submission.4. Develop and conduct Quality Assurance procedures and reviews on Criminal History records maintained in State and Federal databases per relevant statutes.5. Serves as a liaison to internal specialists, government agencies, community organizations, or the general public to explain and provide technical assistance on program specifics and requirements.6. Conduct training and provide guidance within the unit in the creation, development, and integration of new or revised procedural methods.7. Collect, compile, organize, analyze and/or prepares materials in response to requests for program information.8. Analyze submissions and prepare reports of findings, recommendations, and justifications for resolution.9. May train, lead, and/or prioritize staff workloads.10. Attends work regularly and observes approved work hours in accordance with agency leave and attendance policies. 11. Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS andREQUIREMENTS
Education- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Major or emphasis of study in Criminal Justice, Law, Business or a related field preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years' experience analyzing confidential records, court documents, offense reports, and related documents.

Additional relevant work experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.Licensure and/or Certification

Regulatory Knowledge
- Working knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly assimilate information related to TXDPS, State, and Federal criminal law enforcement regulations, legislation, guidelines, policies and procedures, including III/National Fingerprint File Operational and Technical Manual/procedures.
- Must demonstrate sufficient knowledge of library, computer, and empirical research methods and sources to obtain meaningful primary and secondary data regarding a variety of subjects; and to assemble, correlate and analyze information.
- Must be analytical, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task without sacrificing accuracy or timeliness.
