POSITION SUMMARY

The Security Ambassador keeps the property operating safely, looks after the wellbeing of guests and team members, and protects the assets of the casino.

The role is deliberately two-sided:

it is the first face many guests encounter at the door and, at the same time, the position accountable for order, incident response, and accurate documentation across the property.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Guest Service and Presence ▪ Hold the door for arriving guests, greet them warmly, and invite them to return as they depart. ▪ Handle incoming calls with proper telephone courtesy. ▪ Give directions, answer questions, and assist guests with mobility needs, vehicle problems, and escorts to the parking area. ▪ Address intoxicated or disruptive guests under property policy, leading with de-escalation. ▪ Support responsible gaming and self-exclusion procedures as directed. Safety, Security, and Asset Protection ▪ Keep order on property and make efficient use of the people and resources at hand. ▪ Conduct patrols of NGG property and safeguard company assets. ▪ Execute fills and runs by the prescribed procedure, confirming that every required document carries the necessary signatures. ▪ Answer emergencies using the approved response method while applying correct safety procedures throughout. ▪ Accompany employees to the designated bank for daily deposits. ▪ Check identification and enforce the prohibition on underage persons in restricted areas. ▪ Coordinate with surveillance on incidents, escorts, and any activity warranting camera coverage. ▪ Respond to medical situations, alarms, and evacuations within the limits of training and certification. ▪ Carry out trespass and eviction procedures under property policy and management direction. ▪ Maintain key control and lost and found in accordance with established procedure. ▪ Monitor the exterior, walkways, and parking areas for hazards and unauthorized activity. Documentation and Compliance ▪ See that departmental reports and correspondence are finished correctly and on schedule. ▪ Record every incident in a clear, well-written report. ▪ Preserve evidence and observe chain of custody requirements. ▪ Understand and comply with Washington State gambling regulations and the internal control policies and procedures established by NGG. ▪ Report suspicious activity and support currency transaction reporting by escalating qualifying activity as directed by NGG procedure. ▪ Hold and keep current a Washington State Gambling Commission card room employee license and any other credential the position requires. Property Appearance and Workplace Standards ▪ Support property upkeep and appearance as directed, restrooms, walkways, and the parking lot included. ▪ Report on time, in uniform, and ready for the shift. ▪ Finish all assigned training, including compliance, safety, and refresher training. ▪ Use of a personal mobile device anywhere on the gaming floor is not permitted while on the clock; undivided attention to the job is expected throughout the shift. ▪ Carry out additional assignments as directed by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Experience, and Training ▪ Completion of high school, a GED, or comparable practical experience. ▪ A background in the military or law enforcement is preferred. ▪ Two to three (2-3) years of security work is preferred. ▪ CPR/First Aid certification, EMT credentialing, or both are preferred. ▪ Must be able to secure a Washington State gambling license. ▪ Applicant must have reached the age of eighteen (18). ▪ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Specific Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required ▪ Hands-on understanding of cash handling practices, paired with knowledge of Washington State gambling regulations and rules. ▪ Fosters respect, dignity, and integrity among staff by modeling those qualities personally. ▪ Able to read and understand all documentation. ▪ Communicates clearly and consistently with guests and with team members at every level of the organization. ▪ Works well alongside colleagues and engages comfortably with members of the public. ▪ Presents a tidy, professional image and maintains sound personal grooming standards. ▪ Competent in the four basic mathematical operations across all units of measure, whether working in whole numbers, fractions, or decimals. ▪ Writes clear, factual, complete incident reports without delay. ▪ De-escalates confrontation and holds composure in tense or hostile encounters. ▪ Observes closely and recalls detail accurately. ▪ Ability to follow detailed written and verbal procedures exactly, without deviation. ▪ Works independently with limited direct supervision while remaining subject to surveillance observation. ▪ Discretion in handling confidential guest, personnel, and investigative information.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The role is performed in a high-tempo casino setting. Extended periods of standing, walking, or sitting are required, as are speaking, hearing, writing, and fine finger and tactile manipulation. Lifting and carrying of up to thirty pounds (30 lbs.) is required, and heavier loads on occasion. Reaching with the hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling occur regularly, and the incumbent may be exposed to swings in temperature at either extreme. Patrol duties involve walking and standing for the majority of the shift, both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, with the need to move quickly on foot when responding. The position carries the potential for physical confrontation and for exposure to emergency and medical situations. Schedules include nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts based on business needs.
