Job Description

Develop strategic plans utilizing the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) model. Develop, organize, and conduct workshops and seminars on substance abuse prevention and mental health issues. Provide in-service education regarding alcohol/drug addiction, suicide, and other community issues, including risk factors, prevention, intervention, and referral sources to SCS and other community resources as requested. Assess the need for public information, community education, and referral services, including target communities and populations, the extent of need, and the current availability of services. Develop programs and campaigns to address identified needs. Work with high-risk youth to assist them in developing behaviors and attitudes that reduce the risk of addiction. Conduct psycho-educational groups independently on substance abuse, violence prevention, life skills, and other wellness topics. Facilitate groups for smoking cessation. Purchase, organize, and maintain videos and other educational materials in the prevention library. Manage and maintain the annual budget for the Prevention Framework, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and alignment with program goals and funding requirements. Maintain and strengthen community relationships to support program goals and ensure community needs and resources align with service delivery. Attend and actively participate in staff and team meetings as assigned. Perform public relations duties as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned. Maintain a valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Adhere to all regulatory standards and internal policies, including but not limited to CARF, HIPAA, agency compliance protocols, and SCS policies and procedures. Comply with all financial reporting standards (GASB and GAAP) to ensure integrity, transparency, and accountability in fiscal matters.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in behavioral or social sciences, education, or a related field. Obtain any certification in prevention or fulfill any certification requirements specified by the State of Wyoming within one year of employment.
