Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Carpenter to join our family run business. As a Journeyperson Carpenter, you will be responsible for managing and executing various construction projects. Your expertise in carpentry and construction management will contribute to the successful completion of our projects.

Duties:

• Manage and oversee construction projects from start to finish
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Build, install, and repair structures made of wood, plywood, and composite materials
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials according to project requirements
• Build decks and stairs and install deck railings
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other contractors to ensure project specifications are met
• Adhere to safety protocols and OSHA regulations on job sites
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets industry standards
• Manage and train crew members

Experience:

To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Journeyperson Carpenter
• Minimum of 3 years of experience building multi level decks and stairs and installing deck railing
• Strong ability to interpret and follow blueprints, sketches and building plans to construct and repair decks and outdoor structures.
• Install decking, railings, stairs and other components according to design specifications
• Collaborate with clients, project managers and other construction professionals to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Excellent carpentry skills with the ability to work with various tools and equipment
• Familiarity with quality control procedures in the construction industry
