Lead Commercial Glazier

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Glazier to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the installation, fabrication, and repair of glass and glazing systems across various commercial and residential projects. Duties Lead and coordinate all glass installation projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards, schematics, and project timelines Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute glazing and fabrication tasks Supervise and mentor team members, providing guidance on the use of hand tools, power tools, and construction techniques Measure, cut, assemble, and install glass panels, mirrors, windows, doors, and related fixtures with precision Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of large glass units while maintaining safety protocols Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control during installation and fabrication processes Manage construction estimating tasks related to glazing projects to ensure accurate budgeting and resource allocation Requirements Proven experience in glass installation, fabrication, or manufacturing within a construction environment Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics, and metal stud framing Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, screwdrivers, pry bars; power tools including drills and saws; caulking guns; and other relevant equipment Demonstrated ability in carpentry skills such as trim carpentry, door hanging, fixture installation, cabinet installation, frame carpentry, remodeling and construction painting Experience with metal stud framing and drywall installation is preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods during project execution Handyman experience or general construction site experience is highly desirable Excellent communication skills with the ability to read technical schematics and follow detailed instructions Valid certifications in construction safety or relevant trade licenses are a plus

$31.00 - $51.00 per hour
