Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead to oversee our dietary services and culinary operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen management within a healthcare or hospitality setting. This leadership role requires a passion for culinary excellence, food safety, and team development to ensure exceptional dining experiences for our residents and guests. Responsibilities Lead the dietary department by developing nutritious, appealing menus that meet diverse dietary needs and preferences. Supervise dietary aides and kitchen staff, providing training, mentorship, and support to foster a collaborative team environment. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring high standards of quality, presentation, and safety are maintained at all times. Manage food handling procedures in compliance with health regulations to promote safety and sanitation across all food service activities. Coordinate meal service operations efficiently to ensure timely delivery of meals in accordance with scheduled routines. Collaborate with other departments to accommodate special dietary requirements and assist in catering for events or special occasions. Maintain accurate inventory control, monitor food costs, and minimize waste through effective stock management practices. Experience Extensive experience in the food industry with a focus on dietary services or healthcare dining environments. Proven background in menu planning, meal preparation, and culinary techniques including knife skills and food safety protocols. Prior experience working within fine dining or restaurant settings is highly desirable. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising dietary aides or kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of catering services and food handling regulations is preferred. Familiarity with dietary restrictions, meal customization, and food industry best practices is essential for success in this role.
