Job Description

One full-time (32-40 hours/week) position is available. Hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 7:30am
  • 5:30pm and Friday 7:30-3:30pm.
Occasionally we alter the hours to take a long weekend trip, attend training and/or vacation. Additional hours on Monday (8-5) may be required/available on occasion to help with a backlog on tasks and/or patients by appointment. We are a small family run business and we love to take care of our teammates and patients like family. We're looking for a dental assistant who loves structure, precision, and direct feedback. If you get energized by a busy day, taking charge and know your way around a dental office, you'll fit right in.
ABOUT THE JOB
Fast growing general practice dental office in West Jordan is looking for a friendly, reliable , self-motivated, team oriented, lead dental assistant who is willing to grow. One full-time (32-36 hours/week) position is available. Hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 7:30am
  • 5:30pm and Friday 7:30-3:30pm.

YOUR HISTORY LIKELY SHOWS
  • 5 or more years of dental assisting experience
  • Strong administrative and organizing skills with attention to detail
  • A game changer to the dental office, bringing new fresh ideas and presenting them in an energetic and fun way
  • Amazing team player, who loves to work with others and help where needed
  • Professional and positive image to patients and teammates
  • Ability to record procedures in software real time while dentist is working
  • Ability to explain costs and procedures to patient if front desk is not available
  • Computer Savvy
  • Open Dental Experience or other similar dental software
  • Growth mindset, desire to lean and grow with the practice
  • Willing to own up to mistakes and take immediate corrective action
NOTES:
  • Salary is negotiable based on work ethic , attitude and skills (additional benefits, perks and/or bonuses are available).
  • Training will be provided for office specific systems and procedures.
DUTIES INCLUDE
Set up for dental procedures and prepare set ups for next day Infection control (disinfection and sterilization procedures) Organization of dental supplies, disposables, instruments and sterilization Lab communication (in/out cases, phone calls) Take digital X-Rays, Panoramic, CBCT scans, Intraoral photos, digital scans, impressions and pouring/trim models Scheduling (break down tx plan into appts, set next visit, recall appt, call patients) Dental Software inputs (treatment plan, update medical info, chief complaint notes, tx notes, procedures completed) Patient communication (greeting, understanding, empathy, chief complaint, dental procedures and post operatory instructions) Hygiene assistance Temporary crowns Check patient in and out Get office ready for the next day Follow Instructions and implement with little to no direction after being trained Ensure HIPPA, OSHA, security and confidentially compliance with legal requirements Communicate and work effectively with other team members Fine tune and follow office systems Clear Aligner assisting Minor additional details, tasks or projects as required Taking initiative, being motivated, sharing workload equally with other assistants, helping the office and patients thrive Have a great attitude and willing to learn HIPAA compliance Please do not call the dental office, please send requests, messages, questions and resumes via the indeed application or the email on file.
