Lead Detailer

Avid Auto Detailing is looking for a skilled, dependable Lead Detailer to join our growing shop in Derry, NH. This role is for someone who takes real pride in their work, knows how to produce clean results, and can help keep the shop moving without needing constant supervision. We're not looking for someone who just "washes cars." We're looking for someone who understands the details: prep work, interior/exterior cleaning, paint care, customer expectations, and how to finish jobs properly. Experience with paint correction, ceramic coatings, PPF, window tint, or wraps is a major plus, but not required. Responsibilities Perform high-quality interior and exterior details Wash, decontaminate, clay bar, polish, and protect vehicles Perform carpet, seat, leather, plastics, trim, glass, and wheel cleaning Help prep vehicles for ceramic coatings, resale, rentals, and customer delivery Inspect vehicles before and after work is completed Make sure every vehicle leaves clean, finished, and customer-ready Keep the shop clean, organized, and efficient Help track job progress, products used, and any customer concerns Assist with training or guiding other detailers when needed Communicate clearly with management about job status, timing, and supplies Communicate with customers as needed What We're Looking For Experience in professional auto detailing Strong attention to detail Reliable, accountable, and self-motivated Able to work independently Takes pride in doing the job right the first time Good communication and clean work habits Comfortable working on customer vehicles, fleet vehicles, and resale vehicles Valid driver's license preferred Paint correction or coating experience preferred Preferred Experience Interior and exterior detailing Paint correction / machine polishing Ceramic coating prep Fleet vehicle reconditioning Working in a professional detail shop Leading or training other detailers PPF, tint, or wrap experience is a plus Why Work With Us Steady work available through customer, fleet, rental, and resale vehicles Opportunity to grow into a higher-level role Flexible pay structure depending on experience and fit Hourly, commission, flat-rate, or subcontractor options available Shop access, equipment, and garage space provided Work with a growing automotive company offering detailing, coatings, PPF, tint, wraps, rentals, repairs, and sales No corporate nonsense, just a team that works hard and takes pride in the work Pay Compensation depends on experience & skill level.\ Schedule Monday

Have you ever trained, managed, or led other detailers? If yes, what were you responsible for? How much do you expect to make? What would you do if a vehicle is scheduled for pickup in 30 minutes but you notice something was missed or not done properly? Are you comfortable taking on a lead role that includes training other detailers, holding the team accountable, communicating with customers when needed, and assisting with invoices/job updates?
