Job Description

Join a thriving operation in Perris, California, as a Lead Diesel Mechanic, where your expertise will drive the success of a skilled team of technicians. This role is perfect for mechanics with 5+ years of experience in Medium to Heavy Truck repair, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for diagnostics and diesel systems. Duties & Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair vehicle systems, including steering, electrical, cooling, braking, and drivetrain, ensuring compliance with regulations. Conduct test drives to verify repairs and ensure vehicle safety and performance. Obtain necessary inspections and approvals for major repairs before releasing vehicles. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace in adherence to safety standards. Identify and report additional maintenance needs during repairs to ensure fleet reliability. Accurately document repair details, including time spent and parts used, for each job. Respond to road calls to perform on-site repairs as needed. Collaborate with and lead fellow technicians, addressing feedback and ensuring safe maintenance practices.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in Medium/Heavy truck repair, including diagnostics and electrical systems. In-depth knowledge of diesel equipment and AC repair. Valid state driver's license required CDL preferred. Training available for those who need to obtain a CDL after hire. ASE Certification preferred but not required. Company-supported training available. Ownership of recommended hand tools for the role. Strong decision-making and leadership abilities. Must be able to pass a criminal background check and DOT compliance. #HJ1
Compensation:
$46 to $47/hr based on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, holiday pay, PTO accrual, and retirement savings plan.
Shifts:
Day Shift - Monday to Friday Overtime Available!
