In this role, you will create engaging lesson plans, foster a positive classroom atmosphere, and support the holistic development of children from toddler to preschool age. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning, ensuring each child feels valued, safe, and excited to explore their world. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's early development while working within a collaborative team committed to excellence in early childhood education. Responsibilities Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans that promote literacy, numeracy, social-emotional skills, and physical development aligned with early childhood standards. Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management strategies. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that support childhood development milestones, including Montessori methods and other educational philosophies. Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address individual needs—such as special education or early intervention—and foster strong home-school connections. Manage classroom routines efficiently, including lesson planning, transitions, and maintaining a safe and organized space for children's activities. Incorporate assessments such as standardized testing and ongoing observations to monitor progress and tailor instruction accordingly. Support children's welfare by implementing best practices in childcare, toddler care, and classroom management while promoting inclusive practices for diverse learners. Experience Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; familiarity with classroom experience in private or public early childhood programs is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies. Proven ability to develop curriculum content across multiple domains including literacy education, math, physical education, and child welfare topics. Experience with teaching physical education activities and implementing lessons that foster motor skills development. Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Background in special education or working with students requiring additional support is advantageous. Certification or training in early childhood education methods such as Montessori or other recognized frameworks is highly desirable.
