Job Title:
Lead Electro-Mechanical Assembly Job Description This role leads the build and wiring of industrial UL-508A control panels and the assembly of electro-mechanical and pneumatic systems in a custom equipment environment. You will interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, support equipment testing and startup, and ensure high-quality workmanship and documentation while guiding a small team of assemblers. Responsibilities Build and wire industrial UL-508A control panels according to specifications and standards. Assemble electro-mechanical and pneumatic systems for custom industrial equipment. Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to complete assemblies accurately. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and support equipment testing and startup activities. Lead and mentor a small team of assemblers, providing guidance, training, and day-to-day direction. Ensure high quality workmanship, accurate documentation, and adherence to applicable codes and standards. Manage priorities and workflow in a custom build environment to meet project deadlines and quality expectations. Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment safely and effectively. Collaborate with cross-functional team members to resolve issues and improve build processes. Promote and follow industrial safety practices in line with NEC, NFPA-79, and other relevant guidelines. Essential Skills Minimum of 5+ years of experience in control panel and machinery assembly. Strong understanding of NEC and NFPA-79 standards for industrial electrical systems. Experience with control panel building and wiring. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Skilled with PLC and HMI components, variable frequency drives (VFDs), sensors, and relays. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in electrical and mechanical systems. Detail-oriented and highly organized approach to assembly and documentation. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage priorities and workload in a custom build environment. Team-oriented mindset with demonstrated leadership ability or potential. High school diploma or GED. Additional Skills & Qualifications Technical degree or trade school training in an electrical, mechanical, or related field. UL-508A experience in control panel design or assembly. OSHA 10 certification or industrial safety training. Experience with industrial water systems. Technical or vocational training beyond high school. 2+ years of experience in electrical or mechanical assembly or a related field (in addition to or as part of overall experience). Why Work Here?
