Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer to join our team. This role is vital in overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems across various commercial and residential properties. As a leader in the field, you will coordinate installation projects, mentor junior technicians, and ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry best practices. Your expertise will help deliver optimal climate control solutions that enhance comfort, efficiency, and safety for our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex HVAC projects while utilizing your extensive mechanical knowledge and technical skills. Responsibilities Lead and supervise HVAC installation projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to specifications. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Coordinate with project managers, property owners, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems with plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical components. Perform field service tasks including troubleshooting, equipment repair, and system upgrades using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment. Oversee the maintenance of HVAC equipment including boilers, ammonia refrigeration units, air conditioning units, and other mechanical systems. Mentor and train junior technicians on installation techniques, safety procedures, and technical troubleshooting. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations such as OSHA standards and industry codes related to HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration). Qualifications Proven experience in construction-related roles with a strong background as a service technician in HVAC or mechanical systems. Extensive knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics interpretation, plumbing systems, refrigeration technology including ammonia refrigeration systems. Mechanical aptitude with experience in appliance repair, property maintenance, welding, boiler operation, and equipment repair. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately; familiarity with HVAC/R systems is essential. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating a driver vehicle preferred. Hands-on experience with field service tasks such as troubleshooting air conditioning units, refrigeration systems (including ammonia), boilers, and other mechanical equipment. Familiarity with electrical testing tools like ohmmeters; proficiency in welding and mechanical repairs is a plus. Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards.
