A member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island, St. Francis is consistently recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a national leader for Cardiology & Heart Surgery, as well as for Gastroenterology & GI Surgery Job Details The Nuclear Medicine Lead Technologist will assist with the daily workflow of the Nuclear Medicine Department and support the team in providing safe, efficient, and high-quality imaging services. This position will serve as a clinical resource for staff while also performing routine Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, and PET/CT procedures as needed.
The Lead Technologist will help coordinate patient flow, support quality control processes, assist with regulatory readiness, and communicate daily operational needs to the Chief Technologist or department leadership. This role requires strong technical skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to help guide staff during day-to-day operations.
Support technologists in meeting the imaging needs of the patient and department.
Perform a variety of Nuclear Imaging procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
Assist with departmental Performance Improvement activities and support PACS Nuclear Imaging Quality Control measures.
Help maintain regulatory requirements, radiation safety standards, and hospital policies.
Serve as a resource for staff regarding protocols, patient identification, timeout procedures, and routine workflow questions.
Communicate equipment, staffing, workflow, or quality concerns to the Chief Technologist or department leadership.
Promote a professional, safe, and patient-centered work environment.
Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board or ARRT Nuclear Medicine certified required.
Cat Scan certification required.
NYS DOH license.
BLS is required Posted Salary Range USD $50.43 - USD $66.00 /Hr.

Responsibilities includes:

Requirements:
Must be a graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program. Minimum 1 year experience in General Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology preferred.Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board or ARRT Nuclear Medicine certified required.
Cat Scan certification required.
NYS DOH license.
