Lead Pre-K Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring teacher Lead PreK Teacher to join as at God's Gifts Preschool. You will create a safe and nurturing environment for a classroom of 10 children ages 4-5. You will foster a positive learning environment where children can thrive in all areas of development. This position is M-F 8:45 a.m

Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities to promote growth and development of our students.
• Provide a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and curiosity
• Work cooperatively with Floating Assistant
• Foster positive relationships with children and parents
• Document educational experiences and display children's work in a manner that highlights students learning
• Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, appearance, and practice
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
• Follow all licensing regulations and adhere to the policies and procedures of the center

Experience:

Minimum 2-3 years experience working with Preschool aged children in classroom setting Applicants applying for the teacher position must be Lead Teacher Qualified according to DCFS guidelines: 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours) of college credits with 6 semester (9 quarter hours) in Early Childhood education

OR :

One year of Early Childhood experience and 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of college credits with 6 semester hours (9 quarter) hours in Early Childhood Education. Education

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
• Child Development Associate cedential (CDA)
• Strong organizational skills
• Effective and efficient time management
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
