Director of Operations Why this role matters Every micron counts when customers trust us with custom, tight-tolerance components. You'll be the turning expert who converts drawings into robust CAM programs, orchestrates set-ups, and elevates operator performance—keeping quality, throughput, and safety in balance within our climate-controlled job shop. How you'll lead Program CNC turning work and lead set-up/operation on 2-4 axis lathes (Okuma, Haas, Mazak). Translate drawings, specifications, and sample parts into sequenced operations, set-up parameters, and tolerance strategies. Validate results with micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools; sign off on parts meeting spec. Model professional conduct—clear communication, teamwork, and a dependable, polished shop presence. Follow established written and verbal procedures; complete assignments on time. Support additional shop needs as required. What sets you apart Expertise in CNC programming via CAM software, plus proven set-up/operation capability. Strong troubleshooting instincts; manual machining experience is advantageous. Preferred exposure to multi-axis
CNC, CAD/CAM
tools, and high-precision/custom manufacturing. Organized, reliable, and mechanically skilled. Physical realities of the work On your feet and moving most of the shift; able to lift up to 50 lbs. Occasional bending, kneeling, and climbing.
PPE usage as needed:
safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection. Work pattern & compensation Full-time, 1st shift: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM; occasional overtime as production requires.
