Lead Python Data Engineer - Onsite#26-04481 Strongsville, OH Pittsburgh, PA On-site Contract Starts 5/04/2026 Ends 10/30/2026 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking a Lead Python Data Engineer - Onsite for a contract position with a Major Financial Institution located in Strongsville, OH or Pittsburgh, PA. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity. This role involves creating and leading the technical design and development of software solutions. The ideal candidate will propose and design software solutions to addressplex business needs, prepare technical documentation, and provide guidance to colleagues. This position applies modern principles and methodologies to advance business initiatives, with a focus on data pipelines and microservices.

Responsibilities:

Create and lead the technical design and development of software solutions Propose and design software solutions to addressplex business needs Prepare technical and procedural documentation Facilitateplex problem resolution Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues Review coding, testing, and documentation of software modern principles, methodologies, and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities

Requirements:

8 years of relevant experience A deep understanding of multi-process architecture and the threading limitations of Python Experience in version control using GitFlex Experience using libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and MatPlotLib, with experience working with file-based systems (supporting csv/parquet) Experience with Agile Methodology, JIRA, and Confluence Experience writing unit testing and ensuring code coverage Extensive knowledge in understanding data and creating data pipelines Hands-on experience building microservices using FastAPI or related technologies Hands-on experience designing and implementing APIs Pyspark data engineering skills Desired skills: Experience working with Big Data technologies Pay range: $60.70 - $68.70 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
