Role:

Join our passionate team at Little Cub Academy LLC as a Lead Two-Year-Old Teacher ! This rewarding opportunity allows you to guide and support toddlers during one of the most important stages of early childhood development. We are looking for a nurturing, patient, and energetic teacher who is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences through play, exploration, and positive relationships. As the Lead Teacher in our Two-Year-Old classroom, you will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that supports social-emotional growth, independence, communication skills, and early learning foundations.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and classroom activities tailored to the developmental needs of two-year-old children. Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning through play and exploration. Support children's social-emotional development through positive guidance and redirection strategies. Maintain consistent classroom routines and promote independence with self-help skills. Observe and assess children's development and communicate progress or concerns with families and leadership. Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers. Maintain accurate attendance records, daily reports, and classroom documentation. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and licensing regulations. Collaborate with administration and teaching staff to support curriculum planning and center initiatives. Mentor and support assistant teachers within the classroom. Participate in ongoing professional development, staff meetings, and training opportunities.

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old. Completion of Early Childhood Education coursework required. Previous experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare setting preferred. CPR and First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire). Strong classroom management and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education. Ability to lift, carry, and actively engage with young children throughout the day. Passion for supporting young children during critical early developmental years. Background check clearance required prior to employment.
