Aug 25, 2026 Job Description Posting of Vacancy Learning Partnerships Specialist Systemwide 2026-2027 School Year The Falmouth Public Schools is pleased to announce the Learning Partnerships Specialist opportunity. The successful candidate will engage in a two-year appointment to this role. This opportunity is only open to current employees of the District who meet the following criteria.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required (in one of the following fields preferred: science, math, or engineering preferred ) Master's Degree required (in science, math, and/or educational leadership preferred ) Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience in the Falmouth Public Schools, any level K - 12 required Current educator evaluation rating of proficiency or exemplary required Demonstrated understanding of the principles of curriculum development, Massachusetts curriculum standards, project based learning, assessment, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and successful teaching experiences with students of all abilities Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to effectively present information Ability to work cooperatively with peers Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously Such other qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may deem acceptable and appropriate
Opportunity:
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to exercise an alternate route to administrative licensure and earn an initial license as Supervisor/Director as a result of this experience without enrolling in coursework or specialized programming.
Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Director of Teaching & Learning, the Learning Partnerships Specialist will provide leadership and support in the maintenance and advancement of partnerships that serve teaching and learning in the Falmouth Public Schools. Working directly with partners, students, instructional leaders, teachers, coaches, specialists, and support staff, the Learning Partnerships Specialist will guide the development, alignment, review, refinement, and communication essential to our learning partnerships as they support and enrich the District's curricula. Nurture and sustain relationships with advisory members, liaisons, community partners (i.e., individuals, agencies, and institutions). Welcome and orient new partners. Secure, plan, coordinate, and/or facilitate professional learning necessary to educate faculty, staff, families, and community members about partnerships and contributions to our world class learning opportunities. Assist in the development and maintenance of reporting systems for the monitoring of student performance, achievement, and growth over time as related to partnership initiatives. Assist educators, instructional leaders, and administrators, with horizontal and vertical articulation of curriculum frameworks and instructional programs derived from the partnership. Assist with organization of learning activities and facilitation of ongoing partnership initiatives related to teaching and learning. Contribute to the writing, implementation, and evaluation of grants and special projects to include the development of such projects that are possible through state or federal legislation, local or cooperative efforts, and/or grants. Manage spending and other related requirements related to awarded grants. Update district web pages related to the partnership with adherence to accessibility guidelines. Assist in the development of and provide feedback regarding learning experiences for students as well as educators. Research and recommend instructional strategies, interventions, and various tools to aid the instructional process based upon best practices. Assist with the overall evaluation of related programming and develop and/or support strategies for growth. Assist with the confirmation and placement of partners and presenters in classrooms and at school and district events. Assist with coordination of annual STEAM Fair, including matches with professional mentors, recruitment of community judges and participants Facilitate the collaboration between as well as collaborate with educators and partners in regards to the development, alignment, organization, and facilitation of student learning experiences in outdoor classrooms on school campuses, living classrooms across the community, and community agencies. Remain current with new developments in teaching and learning with attention to interdisciplinary connections and engaging opportunities for students to apply learning. Methods for remaining current include readings, conferences, and other means of professional learning. Disseminate information to colleagues and partners in a timely manner. Engage with families and community members about current as well as new initiatives. Conduct other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Director of Teaching & Learning.
