ELEMENTARY LEARNING SUPPORT TEACHER

Job Description:

Elementary Special Education teacher needed for the 2026-2027 school year. The candidate will work under the direction of the Supervisor of Special Education and Building Principal. This teacher will develop and provide specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities; evaluate and assess student progress against instructional objectives; provide research-based specialized instruction to address the instructional goals and objectives contained within each student's IEP; assess student progress and determine the need for additional reinforcement or adjustments to instructional techniques; employ various teaching techniques, methods and principles of learning to enable students to meet IEP goals; develop and implement annual Individualized Educational Program (IEP) plans for students. Experience in working with students with learning disabilities would be preferred. A complete application portfolio is preferred, however, not mandatory for an interview and includes: letter of interest, resume, PA state standard teaching application, appropriate PA teaching certificate, transcripts, three current letters of reference and current Act 34, 114 and 151 clearances. $60,265.00 - $79,557.00 per year
