Lease Operator

The Lease Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned wells and production facilities. This includes monitoring daily production, identifying variances, performing inspections, and executing basic troubleshooting to maintain or restore production targets.

Key responsibilities include:

Monitor production data and field conditions to identify underperforming wells and take corrective action Perform routine site, equipment, and plunger inspections to ensure compliance with operational standards Troubleshoot wells utilizing plunger lift, gas lift, compression, and natural flow systems Review SCADA/field data (Cygnet, PI, or similar systems) and respond to alarms or production issues Accurately document downtime, production impacts, and field activity through work management systems Create and coordinate work orders with maintenance, automation, or engineering teams as needed Execute daily field activities including JSA preparation, safe work practices, and adherence to LOTO procedures Maintain wellsite conditions, including housekeeping, signage, and operational readiness Communicate daily with foremen, lead operators, and support teams regarding production status and field needs Prior lease operator, production technician, or oilfield operations experience preferred Working knowledge of wellhead and production facility operations Experience with plunger lift, gas lift, compression, separators, treaters, tanks, and related production equipment preferred Ability to troubleshoot basic production and equipment issues Strong safety awareness and willingness to follow all company and client procedures Basic computer skills, including email, reporting systems, and field data tools Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently in the field Must be able to work in or around the Yorktown, TX area Crosby Energy Services is hiring a Lease Operator for work in the Yorktown, TX area.
