Lease Operator/Pumper Our Vision:

Job Description This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of oil and gas wells and production facilities across an assigned route. The position focuses on optimizing production performance, maintaining equipment reliability, and ensuring all operational and safety metrics are consistently met. The individual will actively monitor well performance, diagnose production issues, and execute corrective actions while collaborating with cross-functional teams including operations, maintenance, engineering, and optimization. This is a field-based role requiring strong technical knowledge of artificial lift systems, production equipment, and digital monitoring tools. ResponsibilitiesProduction Monitoring & Optimization Monitor well performance using digital tools and identify production variances Develop and execute step-by-step plans to restore wells to target production levels Escalate production issues to appropriate technical resources when needed Review and validate production volumes and coordinate corrections Field Operations & Maintenance Perform site visits, inspections, and troubleshooting of wells and surface equipment Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment including separators, compressors, heaters, tanks, and associated systems Execute basic maintenance activities and coordinate additional support when required Ensure proper wellhead and facility operation prior to intervention activities Work Management & Reporting Create, update, and close work orders and job safety analyses (JSAs) Accurately document operational activities, downtime codes, and field observations Maintain clear and detailed shift handovers and communication logs Collect and manage field data for production validation Safety & Compliance Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and permit requirements Participate in daily safety meetings and job hazard assessments Maintain site housekeeping and ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards Report incidents and escalate issues according to established guidelines Inspections & Metrics Ensure completion of required site and equipment inspections within defined timelines Track and manage performance metrics including inspection compliance and verification targets Identify and close operational gaps through continuous improvement efforts Collaboration & Communication Communicate daily activities and production updates with team members and stakeholders Coordinate with operations, engineering, automation, and maintenance teams Provide clear updates during shift transitions to ensure continuity of operations Skills and QualificationsRequired High school diploma or equivalent; relevant field experience required Strong understanding of oil and gas production operations Experience working with artificial lift systems (e.g., plunger lift, gas lift, compression, or flowing wells) Hands-on experience with wellhead and production equipment Ability to troubleshoot production issues and execute corrective actions independently Strong communication and teamwork skills Proficiency with digital tools and systems for monitoring and reporting (SCADA or similar platforms) Commitment to safety, environmental, and operational standards Technical Knowledge Artificial lift systems (plunger lift, gas lift, wellhead compression, flowing wells) Production equipment including separators, compressors, heaters, tanks, and valves Basic understanding of pressure relationships, flow dynamics, and well performance Field instrumentation and control systems Preferred Experience with production monitoring and data systems Familiarity with work management systems and reporting tools Knowledge of inspection and compliance tracking processes Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment Key Competencies Problem-solving and critical thinking Time management and work prioritization Attention to detail and documentation accuracy Ability to work independently in a field environment Strong safety mindset and accountability
