Job description Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing property leasing processes, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and maintaining strong relationships with residents and prospective tenants. This position requires a blend of administrative skills, customer service expertise, and knowledge of property management practices. This position is 40 hours per week, M-F, 8-5. No weekends. Lease bonuses. Responsibilities Facilitate the leasing process by conducting property tours, answering inquiries, and providing information about available units. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and LIHTC guidelines throughout the leasing process. Maintain accurate records of tenant applications, lease agreements, and renewals using property management software such as Rent Manager. Assist in the management of property maintenance requests and coordinate with facilities management to ensure timely resolutions. Develop and maintain positive relationships with current residents to enhance customer satisfaction and retention. Negotiate lease terms and conditions with prospective tenants while adhering to company policies. Perform administrative tasks related to leasing activities, including filing, data entry, and reporting. Collaborate with the team to promote available properties through various channels including social media. Skills Must have previous property leasing experience to be considered. Strong understanding of Fair Housing regulations and LIHTC compliance. Proficient in facilities management principles and practices. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to close leases effectively. Experience in customer relationship management to foster positive tenant interactions. Strong administrative skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping. Knowledge of property maintenance processes and best practices. Familiarity with property leasing procedures and documentation requirements. Proficiency in using OneSite or similar property management software is preferred. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with diverse audiences.
