Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support across various practice areas, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our law office. Your expertise will help facilitate legal research, document management, client communication, and case preparation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal skills while contributing to impactful legal work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is organized, resourceful, and eager to learn across multiple legal disciplines. Duties Assist with legal research to support case development across diverse practice areas including estate planning, family law, and bankruptcy law. Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail. Manage case files and document management to ensure accurate filing, data entry, and retrieval of case information. Conduct thorough document review and legal case management to support the attorney in litigation. Coordinate client interviews and assist with client communication to gather necessary information for case progression. Support administrative functions including scheduling appointments, managing phone etiquette, organizing meetings, and providing executive administrative support when needed. Skills Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy law office environment. Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities for accuracy. Experience with legal administrative tasks such as data entry, and filing systems. Strong organizational skills combined with professional phone etiquette; capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
