The qualified person must be highly organized, motivated, extremely detail-oriented, and committed to meeting deadlines. This person must possess excellent organizational, customer service and communication skills, and demonstrate good judgment and discretion when dealing with clients attorneys, office staff, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel. This position is Monday through Friday from 8am to 4 pm in the office. We are located at Central and McDowell. Seeking someone who wants to learn to be a paralegal and has a strong passion for attention to detail and going above and beyond.
Responsibilities include:
Answering Phones Maintain Attorney calendars in Outlook and CLIO Arrange meetings and conference calls and perform other duties related to maintaining organization within the section. Schedule appointments. Maintain client contact with client and work with opposing counsel. Prepare various legal documents, supporting documents, correspondence, etc. E-File Assist with establishing new clients and maintaining client database. Meet expert deadlines and other court deadline. Organize documents for attorney review and case preparation. Send discovery to clients as they are received and gather information from clients for purposes of answering discovery. Pull relevant documents, proofread motions, organize exhibits and create document indices in preparation of motions Manage case dockets. Experience and Degree a plus but not necessary.
