Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join our premier Estate Planning, Trust/Probate Administration and Elder Law Firm. This position demands a responsible and organized professional to support the Attorneys and Legal Assistants in an administrative fashion. We are extremely service oriented and pride ourselves on helping our multi-generational clients. This position is demanding and fast-paced, yet extremely rewarding. The ideal candidate must be customer service driven and have extreme attention to detail. Excellent time management and computer skills are required to excel in this position. Experience in Time Matters or other practice/business management software is a plus. Notary Public is a plus. Experience in Estate Planning, Probate, Trusts and Estates Administration is desired, however, experience with Real Property Transfers in financial institutions, or with Tax may be substituted. A college degree is desired, however a relevant combination of formal education and experience will be considered. Ability to work closely with clients in a patient and compassionate manner Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills on the phone as well as in person Detail oriented and organized, ability to manage own caseload and meet deadlines Ability to gather, organize and analyze asset information Prepare deeds and supporting documents, affidavits, draft inventory, allocation memorandums and asset transfer documents Marshal Estate Planning matters from intake though funding Ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently Excellent oral communication, interpersonal, written communication and time management skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy Ability to provide clerical and administrative support and other duties as requiredREQUIREMENTS
College degree desired, but relevant experience will be considered Ability to independently manage workload in a timely manner, track deadlines Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Time Matters with ability and willingness to learn technology quickly Excellent interpersonal skills working with clients, financial institutions, government agencies, attorneys & fellow team members. Strong attention to detail with 100% accuracy Ability to work in a high pressure, deadline driven environment High degree of integrity, discretion and confidentiality Neat and professional appearance Notary Public Required Ideal candidate may have previously worked as elder law paralegal- estate planning paralegal
