Legal Assistant/Paralegal Canu Torrice Law, PLLC Fraser, MI Job Details Part-time | Full-time $24 - $31 an hour 15 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our legal team. You will support attorneys by managing case files, preparing documents, and ensuring smooth administrative operations. Duties Assist attorneys with drafting, reviewing, and editing legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and correspondence Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and easily accessible Manage calendar deadlines, court dates, and appointment schedules to ensure timely submissions and appearances Prepare discovery materials, affidavits, and other legal paperwork required for litigation or transactional work Coordinate communication between clients, courts, and external agencies to facilitate case progress Support administrative tasks such as billing, document management, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information Qualifications Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department preferred Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and document formatting standards Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency in legal research tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and case management software Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—to interact confidently with team members and clients A degree or certification in paralegal studies or related field is highly desirable
Pay:
$24.00 - $31.00 per hour
