Organization Details Organization Information Letcher County Public Schools has approximately 3000 students in preschool through through grade 12 in one high school, 3 middle schools, 2 K-8 schools, and 3 elementary schools. The mission of the district, in partnership with the family, students, and community, is to provide our students with every opportunity that will allow them to be successful. Our district stresses the importance of college and career readiness for our students by providing AP and Dual Credit Courses, virtual courses, and a variety of vocational certifications in conjunction with the Letcher County Area Technology Center.
