Job Description
Pay:
$20.41 - $23.88Outreach Coordinator I Starting Pay:
$20.41/hr- Plans, markets, and facilitates educational, recreational, and cultural programs for adults, teens, and children at locations throughout the County.
- Plans and prepares publicity for programs.
- Promotes Library events at community events and meetings.
- Collaborates with community partners to offer relevant, partner-led outreach programs.
- Maintains a catalog on ongoing programs which introducing new programs and special events in response to patron and community demand.
- Researches current trends to incorporate into programs.
- Coordinates set up and take down of outreach spaces.
- Completes 24 hours of professional development a year.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as a regular part of their work week.
- In case of emergency or crisis situation (hurricane, flood, etc.) position is required to respond/perform emergency and recovery duties as assigned by the County Manager or designee.
- During an emergency or crisis situation, this position may be required to be present at the Emergency Operation Center (EOC) to provide assistance while activated.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Outreach Coordinator II Starting Pay:
$22.93/hr- This position performs all of the duties of an Outreach Coordinator I.
- This position differentiates from an Outreach Coordinator I.
- Plans and creates content for daily social media posts, newsletters, and website updates to be posted by County Communications Office.
- Responds to social media posts.
- Acts as the primary liaison for communications purposes to include flyer creation and branch flyer checks before submitting them for approval.
- Creates informational brochures and outreach materials for planned events. Minimum Requirements Outreach Coordinator I
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a library, school, event planning, public relations, or similar setting.
- Must be able to keyboard accurately.
- Effective oral and written communication. Outreach Coordinator II
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
- 1-2 years of experience in a library, school, event planning, public relations, social media, marketing, or similar setting.
- Must be able to keyboard accurately and have a good understanding of Microsoft Suite applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Must have a good understanding of Canva and other graphic design applications.
- Knowledge of Library policies and procedures, preferred.

- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record.

Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on machined parts.Repetitive motions:

Visual requirement equal to that for clerical administrative whose work deals largely with preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, transcription, computer terminal, extensive reading, etc. The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions. Tasks may risk exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, etc. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
