Library Page

The Gowanda Free Library is looking for a part-time Library Page with: ✓ A positive, friendly, motivated, and enthusiastic attitude and works well with patrons of all ages, including young children and teens. ✓ An interest in literature for all ages. ✓ Comfort with spending time shelving and organizing books, as well as maintaining the order and appearance of the library. ✓ Comfort with computer technology.

Position duties include:

• Working scheduled hours to provide services and answer questions of all library visitors
• Aiding in the housekeeping duties of the library.
• Compiling daily statistics.
• Reading advisory and research materials in the library system as requested by patrons
• Promoting library programs and resources.
• Assisting with library programs for all ages.
• Assisting in preparing crafts and marketing materials.
• Shelving materials.
• Maintaining the order and appearance of the library's collections.
• Performing regular library duties and operations 12-15 hours a week.

This is a minimum-wage position. The library offers paid time off (established by our policies) and a great working environment. Join our team! Experience in a library is a plus, but not necessarily needed. We will train you!
