Licensed Aircraft Mechanic A&P
Job Description:
For over 32 years, Rice Lake Air Center has specialized in the inspection, maintenance, and detailing of technically advanced turbine aircraft. As an FAA Part 145 Repair Station, we have built a global reputation for precision workmanship, disciplined processes, and an uncompromising commitment to safety. Our facility supports a focused fleet—allowing our technicians to develop deep expertise rather than working across dozens of unrelated airframes. We operate in a clean, highly organized shop environment where attention to detail, clear communication, and pride in craftsmanship are expected. We are seeking a highly skilled A&P Mechanic who is motivated by technical excellence, values consistency and structure, and takes ownership of their work. Compensation & Schedule
Total Compensation:
$60,000 - $175,000 (based on experience and capability)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday with flexible start/end times (choose your consistent shift between 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM) Overtime opportunities available based on workload Benefits Private medical, life, and disability insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and paid holidays Health Savings Account (HSA) Employee referral bonus program Stable, year-round workload What You'll Work On Turbine-powered aircraft with a strong emphasis on PT6 platforms Garmin avionics systems and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) Structured inspection programs and scheduled maintenance events High-end aircraft detailing and finishing work
Job Requirements:
Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled inspections (annuals, phase inspections, progressive programs) Execute routine and advanced maintenance on turbine aircraft systems Diagnose and troubleshoot: Electrical systems (wiring, avionics integration, fault isolation) Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Powerplant issues (especially PT6 engines) Remove, install, and rig components including flight controls, landing gear, and engine accessories Conduct operational and functional checks following maintenance Interpret and apply: Aircraft maintenance manuals Service bulletins and airworthiness directives Maintain accurate, FAA-compliant maintenance records and logbook entries Respond to unscheduled maintenance and AOG situations with urgency and precision Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and correctly the first time Required Qualifications FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate Strong working knowledge of aircraft maintenance practices and FAA regulations Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics Proficiency with standard aviation tools and diagnostic equipment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Experience PT6 / turboprop experience (3-5+ years preferred) Experience with Garmin avionics systems (G1000, G3000, etc.) Familiarity with LRU troubleshooting and replacement Experience in a Part 145 repair station environment Strong troubleshooting mindset What Sets This Role Apart Focus on a specific class of aircraft—build true expertise instead of spreading thin Clean, well-maintained, and highly organized facility Consistent workflow with an emphasis on quality over speed A team culture built around professionalism, accountability, and precision Leadership that values doing the job right the first time Requirements Must pass background check Must pass pre-employment and random drug testing Must be authorized to work in the United States Now (Job and company information not to be copied, shared, scraped, or otherwise disseminated/distributed without explicit consent of ) Now Job Info Location Cameron, Wisconsin, USA Type Permanent Travel None Salary Range $60,000 - $175,000 Company Details Rice Lake Air Center 1872 14 1/2 Ave. Cameron, Wisconsin 54822 USA 1 Open Job Available Rice Lake Air Center Rice Lake Air Center is a Full Service Part 145, Part 135 and a nationally recognized leader in Socata, TBM service for 20+ years.
