  • Full-time Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Licensing Specialist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with licensing requirements for mental health services. This position involves working closely with various stakeholders to facilitate the licensing process and maintain high standards of patient care within the behavioral health sector. Responsibilities Review and process applications for licenses related to mental health services, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate. Collaborate with mental health professionals to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Conduct research on licensing requirements and updates in the field of behavioral health. Maintain accurate records of licensed professionals and their credentials, including data collection for reporting purposes. Provide guidance and support to staff regarding licensing procedures and requirements. Assist in crisis management situations by providing appropriate resources and referrals as needed. Participate in training sessions related to cognitive behavioral therapy and child family counseling as required. Stay informed about ICD-10 coding updates relevant to mental health services. Qualifications A background in mental health counseling, social work, or a related field is preferred. Experience in patient care or behavioral health settings is highly desirable. Strong research skills with the ability to interpret regulatory guidelines effectively. Familiarity with crisis management techniques and data collection methods is essential. Knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy practices is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
