Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in an elementary school setting in Muskegon, MI. This role supports both public and non-public schools within the district, providing comprehensive speech and language services to elementary-aged students. Ideal candidates hold an active Michigan state license in Speech-Language Pathology and possess experience working with young learners in school environments.
Key Qualifications:
Active Speech-Language Pathology license in Michigan, required Experience providing speech and language therapy in elementary schools Ability to deliver services to students in both public and non-public school settings Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with educators, families, and administrators Certification as an SLP, ensuring professional standards are met
Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments for students Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs Provide direct speech and language intervention services to elementary students Collaborate with school staff to support students' communication goals Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state requirements Participate in team meetings and parent conferences as needed
