Job Description

Licensed Funeral Director Glenwood Springs, CO 81601 From $17 an hour - Full-time From $17 an hour - Full-time Farnum Holt Funeral Home is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Funeral Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of the funeral service industry and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills. As a Funeral Practitioner, you will be responsible for guiding families through the funeral planning process, ensuring that all aspects of the service are handled with dignity and respect. This role requires strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing bereavement support during difficult times. Responsibilities Direct and lead funeral home visitations and services. Operate and perform cremations and emablmings Meet and arrange final wishes with the family for the deceased Be available for on call removal hours. Coordinate and conduct funeral services in accordance with the wishes of the deceased and their family. Provide guidance and support to families in planning funerals, including selecting caskets, urns, and other necessary arrangements. Prepare the deceased for viewing by performing necessary cosmetic procedures and ensuring proper sanitation. SKILLS Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to provide appropriate care for the deceased. Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with grieving families. Proficiency in cosmetology for preparing the deceased for viewings. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during transport and preparation of remains. Experience preferred in funeral directing with a thorough understanding of industry practices Compassionate demeanor with a focus on providing emotional support during bereavement.
