Job Description

Job Summary STP Physical Therapy is a growing adult rehabilitation clinic focused on providing exceptional care in orthopedic, neurological, and sports rehabilitation. Our modern facility is designed to support comprehensive therapy services that prioritize patient outcomes, personalized treatment, and collaborative care. We are seeking a dedicated Lic. Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in treating adult patients with a variety of diagnoses and be committed to helping individuals regain strength, mobility, and independence. This is a part-time position. Responsibilities Assist Lic. Physical Therapists in developing and executing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs Administer therapeutic techniques such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and physiotherapy modalities to facilitate recovery Monitor patient progress during therapy sessions, documenting responses and adjusting interventions accordingly Support patients through education on exercises, mobility techniques, and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of treatments provided, patient responses, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations Ensure a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards during all therapy activities Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, and support staff to coordinate care Contribute to a supportive and team-oriented clinic environment Requirements Previous experience in an outpatient clinic Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and acute care practices is essential. Experience in geriatrics, orthopedics, sub-acute care, or post-acute care is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service and compassion for individuals undergoing rehabilitation. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated in completing tasks. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients, families, and healthcare staff. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care. Qualifications MUST have a valid licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in New Jersey Proven experience working in outpatient clinics Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and physiotherapy techniques Familiarity with specialized therapies such as trigger point therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics Excellent communication skills to educate patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams
Pay:
$55.00 - $60.00 per hour
