Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - PRN Position West Georgia Orthopaedic & Physical Therapy Position Overview West Georgia Orthopaedic & Physical Therapy is seeking a motivated and compassionate Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing team on a PRN/as-needed basis. This position offers flexible scheduling with the opportunity to grow into a part-time or full-time staff position over time based on performance, patient demand, and office growth. Our office provides a collaborative, patient-focused environment with an emphasis on orthopedic rehabilitation, injury recovery, personal injury care, post-surgical rehabilitation, and functional movement restoration. The ideal candidate will work closely with our physical therapists and multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care while helping patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and regain quality of life. Responsibilities Assist supervising physical therapists in carrying out individualized treatment plans Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretching programs, rehabilitation activities, and functional movement training Apply therapeutic modalities and manual therapy techniques as directed by the supervising therapist Monitor patient progress and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising physical therapist Accurately document treatments, patient responses, and progress notes within the EMR system Educate patients on home exercises, posture, ergonomics, and injury prevention strategies Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment Work collaboratively with chiropractors, medical providers, and other healthcare staff within our integrated office setting Help create a positive and encouraging patient experience from start to finish Qualifications Current Georgia Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Strong communication and patient interaction skills Ability to work independently while following treatment protocols and therapist direction Experience in orthopedic rehabilitation, outpatient physical therapy, sports medicine, chiropractic integration, or personal injury cases preferred Familiarity with therapeutic exercise programs, rehabilitation equipment, and manual therapy techniques preferred EMR/documentation experience preferred New Grads welcome to apply What We Offer Flexible PRN scheduling Supportive and team-oriented work environment Opportunity for long-term growth into a permanent staff position Exposure to a wide variety of orthopedic and rehabilitation cases Integrated multidisciplinary office setting with physical therapy, chiropractic, and medical services Competitive compensation based on experience Join our team and help make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients recovering from injury, surgery, and chronic pain conditions throughout the Columbus.
