Role:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct basic nursing care and established plans of care to patients with mental health and behavioral disorders in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting. Under the immediate supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) supports patient safety, therapeutic treatment plans, medication administration, and daily living needs while maintaining a structured, compassionate, and trauma-informed environment. Valid LVN licensure completed from an accredited school of Nursing. At least 2 years prior experience as an LVN preferably with hospital and behavioral health experience Certified BLS provider obtained within 1 month prior to hire. Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Ability to work as a member of a team. Professional appearance, aptitude, and attitude Impeccable ethics, integrity, and customer relations skills Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills Knowledge of "best practices" behavioral medicine treatment delivery and methodologies Sound clinical judgment and decision-making skillsKey Responsibilities:
Clinical & Patient Care Provide direct patient care to individuals with psychiatric and behavioral health conditions Support patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, nutrition, and therapeutic communication Participate in crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and behavior- management strategies per training and policy Participate in safety checks and suicide precautions per policy Maintain a safe and therapeutic milieu by following safety protocols and observing patients per assigned level of observation Medication Administration & Monitoring Administer medications as prescribed, including oral, IM, and subcutaneous medications in accordance with state law and facility policy Observe patients for medication effectiveness and adverse reactions; report findings to RN, CNO, or Medical Provider Assessment, Monitoring, & Data Collection Monitor and document patient behaviors, mental status, and physical condition; report significant changes or concerns to RN, CNO, or Medical Provider Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer procedures by collecting data, vitals, and administering screening tools Collect and document data for carious assessments and checks Interventions & Collaboration Implement nursing interventions as directed by RN, CNO, or Medical Provider Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment team members, including RN's, Psychiatrists, Social Workers, and Mental Health Technicians Documentation & Compliance Accurately document nursing care, patient responses, and incidents Participate in staff meetings, training, and continuing education as required Assist with client belongings inventory and safety searches per policy

$26.00- $32.
