Job Title:
LPN LTC Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our long-term care team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, with expertise in managing the unique needs of residents in a long-term care setting. As an LPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing services, supporting patient assessments, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Your role is vital in promoting residents' well-being and maintaining a safe, respectful environment for all.

Weekly Taxable Pay:

LPN LTC:
Genie Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced LPN LTC to fill an opening place located in Las Vegas, NM for $45.15/hr. (Tax+ non-taxed)
Requirements of LPN LTC:
  • Must have AHA BLS certification
  • Must have a valid NM LPN License or Compact license.

Responsibilities of LPN LTC:
Shift:
10- hours Day/Eve FLEX Shift details: 7a-5p/1p-11p 4
  • 10 hours/week.
(40 hrs.) 13-week contract Administer medications and treatments accurately, including IV infusions and injections, following established protocols. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document findings in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility support, catheter care, and tube feeding management. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to residents' needs. Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease through specialized memory care techniques and behavioral health strategies. Ensure infection control practices are strictly followed to prevent the spread of infectious diseases within the facility. Participate in discharge planning, case management, and coordination of post-acute or hospice care when necessary. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and medical records. Skills Proven experience working in long-term care facilities, nursing homes, or assisted living environments. Critical care experience including ICU or emergency medicine is highly valued for handling acute situations effectively. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation. Knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for proper documentation and billing procedures. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to geriatric and adult patient populations. Experience with IV insertion, medication administration, venipuncture, and sterile technique. Ability to perform physical examinations, vital sign assessments, and diagnostic evaluations efficiently. Excellent communication skills to triage patient needs accurately and collaborate with healthcare teams effectively. Working knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice.
