Job Description
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), where your expertise will directly impact patient care and well-being. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality nursing support at our outpatient clinic. Your energetic approach and compassionate attitude will help create a positive environment for patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. You'll be responsible for delivering personalized care, assisting with medical procedures, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards to promote optimal health outcomes. Fridays, weekends, and holidays off. Great schedule for working parents and caregivers. Full Time position Monday- Thursday. Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to inform care plans. Administer medications, testing and injections accurately aligned with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient information meticulously and ensure seamless communication among healthcare teams. Support triage activities by evaluating patient symptoms, prioritizing urgent cases like acute pain or infectious disease concerns, and coordinating appropriate interventions. Assisting with prior authorizations and other time sensitive triage tasks. Valid licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the relevant state or jurisdiction. Proven experience working in critical care environments such as emergency medicine, ICU, or trauma centers is highly preferred. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation. Demonstrated competence in procedures such as subcutaneous, intradermal and other testing procedures. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Experience providing specialized care for populations such as pediatric patients (including neonatal ventilator management), dementia or Alzheimer's care, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to perform patient assessments efficiently in fast-paced settings like urgent care or hospital medicine. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are advantageous. Join us to make a difference through compassionate nursing practice!
