Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Make a real difference by supporting students as an onsite Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a school setting near Lansing, KS. This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide essential healthcare to children while working within the academic calendar. You'll enjoy a balanced work schedule, collaborating with educators and families, and directly impacting a student's daily experience in a supportive environment. What we're seeking: Active LPN/LVN license in the state of Kansas Experience in a pediatric, school, or similar setting preferred Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills Compassionate, patient, and adaptable attitude for working with children Ability to handle confidential information professionally Willingness to work a 1:1 caseload with a specific student Must be able to work onsite for the full assignment period Key responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care for a student according to care plans and IEP requirements Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and address medical needs during school hours Respond promptly to health emergencies and employ proper protocols Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and the student's family to ensure coordinated care Maintain accurate health records and required documentation Support the student's inclusion and participation in all appropriate school activities Position details: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) Extended School Year (ESY): June 1st-25th, Monday-Thursday 8:10am-12:10pm Normal School Year (NSY): August 12, 2026 - May 20, 2027 1:1 onsite assignment Grow professionally in a school-centered role where you're a valued partner in student success.
