Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse at our Community Residence for adolescents ages 12-18 with significant mental health concerns qualifying for SED (Serious Emotional Disturbance). Working with youth in a residential setting is a fun, high energy, fast paced dynamic that provides many rewarding experiences and the opportunity to foster positive growth and change in the lives of others. Qualified candidates must be a licensed practical nurse by the New York State Education Department and have at least 1 year of experience providing direct nursing care. The qualified candidate will be responsible for duties including, but not limited to conducting health assessments, monitoring, and coordinating medication, providing staff, client and family education, coordinating medical care, training the staff team in medication management/certification, providing crisis intervention services and providing on-call services. Completion of criminal background check and clearance by the NYS Child Abuse & Maltreatment registry is required. The Licensed Practical Nurse will be supervised by an Agency RN Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse through the NYS Department of Education On-call responsibilities

Hours:

Generally, Monday - Friday but vary depending on program needs; weekends as needed.
