Licensed Practical Nurse/LPN - 24 hour/Varied shifts-Day/Evening-Ortho/Traumatic Brain Injury Specialty Unit-Hooker 2

Under the direction of an RN, the LPN provides physical, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual dimensions of care to patients and their families, including medical treatments, on a variety of rehabilitation and medically complex nursing units, as needed. LPNs are valuable members of the healthcare team at Gaylord Hospital and are exposed to a wide range of clinical experiences and skills.

Qualifications:

Current CT LPN License required Patient care/Healthcare experience preferred but not required American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross BLS Certification required

WORK SCHEDULE

24 hours, days or evenings, (7:00 am-3:30 pm or 3:00 pm-11:30 pm), including alternating weekends and holidays Gaylord nursing units offer a variety of skills such as: Milne 1 & 2: Step down/progressive care unit of level of care includes: Continuous telemetry monitoring Ventilator support and weaning LVAD patient population Heart Transplant population Lyman 1 & Hooker 1: Medical Units offer skills such as: Stroke Complex wounds Telemetry Pulmonary care Lyman 2 & Hooker 2: Specialty Units are CARF Accredited with a focused patient population: Traumatic Brain Injury Stroke Spinal cord Injury
