In this vital role, you will provide expert psychological assessment, therapy, and support to diverse patient populations across inpatient and outpatient settings. Your expertise will help individuals of all ages—children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics—navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their personal wellness goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care including PTSD management, and specialized interventions for autism spectrum disorders and disabilities. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical records. Duties Conduct thorough psychological assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and behavioral health screenings for patients across various settings. Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapies such as psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention techniques. Provide individual, family, and group counseling sessions tailored to the needs of children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Manage intake procedures efficiently by gathering patient histories and coordinating psychological testing when necessary. Offer crisis intervention services for patients experiencing acute mental health episodes or trauma-related symptoms like PTSD. Supervise clinical staff and interns while ensuring adherence to best practices in mental health counseling and patient care standards. Maintain detailed documentation of patient interactions in compliance with HIPAA guidelines and manage medical records securely. Collaborate with medical professionals to coordinate care plans for patients with complex needs such as autism spectrum disorder or disabilities. Engage in research activities to stay current with advancements in behavioral health practices and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives. Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to expand access to mental health services for remote or underserved populations. Experience Valid licensure as a Psychologist in the relevant state or jurisdiction with active certification to practice independently. Proven experience in clinical counseling within inpatient or outpatient environments, preferably including hospital or medical setting exposure. Demonstrated expertise working with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics across diverse clinical scenarios such as addiction counseling, social work integration, or behavioral health management. Hands-on experience conducting psychological testing and diagnostic evaluations for various mental health conditions. Strong background in crisis intervention techniques including managing acute psychiatric episodes or trauma-related distress like PTSD. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and medical recordkeeping is essential. Experience supervising clinical staff or interns is highly desirable to foster team development and ensure high-quality patient care.
