The LSN plays a vital role in supporting student wellness, ensuring safe learning environments, and partnering with families and educational teams to meet students' individual health needs. Key Responsibilities Assess and monitor student health needs and medical conditions Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans Collaborate with families, educators, and service providers to support student success Provide health education, guidance, and counseling to students and families Respond to medical concerns and emergencies within school settings Support compliance with state health regulations and special education requirements Promote healthy, safe, and inclusive learning environments What We're Looking For Passion for working with students with diverse learning and health needs Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered practices Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues Qualifications Current Minnesota Licensed School Nurse (LSN) credential required Experience working with children or adolescents preferred Experience in special education or school-based settings is preferred At CVSEC, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, belong, and engage meaningfully in their community.
